Stretching along the coast from the sand barrier of Point Smythe to the sheltered waters of Waratah Bay, Cape Liptrap Coastal Park has strikingly beautiful scenery.

Location:  Cape Liptrap Coastal Park is situated 160 kilometres south east of Melbourne. It is reached from the South Gippsland Highway at Leongatha or the Bass Highway from Inverloch.

Description: 33 numbered campsites are marked at Bear Gully on the shore of Waratah Bay. This camping area offers shady campsites set among tall Banksias right on the shore of Waratah Bay. The adjacent beach is unpatrolled and not recommended for swimming. The area is popular for fishing and rock pooling.

Booking Conditions: Fires are permitted in the designated fireplaces only.  Please ensure you camp on your allocated site.  There is no rubbish collection at this campground. Pets are not permitted in the Cape Liptrap Coastal Park. There are campsites available for booking with a maximum of 6 people per site. All campsites are unpowered and can be exposed to weather. The adjacent beach is unpatrolled and not recommended for swimming.
