Description
Walk, cycle or ride 70 kilometres along The Great Southern Rail Trail, stopping to explore the small villages and towns along the way, and take in the views of rolling hills, lush farmland and temperate rainforest South Gippsland has to offer. A fantastic track for any outdoor enthusiast no matter your fitness level. Be rewarded with blue water views to the peaks of The Prom as you head south east along the trail. If you're not so keen on the whole distance, there are plenty of car parks and entry points for much shorter trips.
Location: From Leongatha, the trail goes through Koonwarra, Meeniyan, Stony Creek, Buffalo, Fish Creek, Foster, Toora, Welshpool and Port Welshpool, offering rural and bush views along the way.
