You can explore the town’s history at State Coal Mine and then take a stroll around the bustling town centre. With a large range of shops, restaurants and cafes there are plenty of options to choose from while enjoying the town’s historic setting. Take in a movie or a show at the Wonthaggi Union Community Art Centre. If you are in town at midday you will hear the iconic mine whistle, which is now based in the Apex Park.
